TAKANI Warranty Policy

TAKANI is the designated supplier of TAKANI products for E-Ride Shop. All warranty claims for these products will be processed in accordance with TAKANI's Warranty Policy.

E-Ride Shop follows the warranty policies established by our suppliers. Additionally, we have our own warranty terms and conditions that complement these supplier policies. Together, these policies provide a comprehensive guide for our customers, ensuring clarity and consistency.

In the event of any discrepancies between E-Ride Shop's policy and our suppliers' policies, E-Ride Shop reserves the right to determine, at our sole discretion, which parts of the supplier's warranty policies will take precedence. This approach ensures alignment with supplier agreements while maintaining transparency and fairness for our customers.

Warranty Service Clause:

  • The customer is fully responsible for the repair and maintenance of the product under this warranty.

  • E-Ride Shop, along with the respective supplier/brand, holds no liability or responsibility for the execution of any repairs or maintenance required.

  • E-Ride Shop will:

    • Act as an intermediary for the warranty claim, facilitating communication and coordination between the customer and the supplier/brand/manufacturer.

    • Facilitate the provision and shipment of necessary replacement parts to the customer.

    • Not be responsible for the installation or implementation of these parts.

  • The customer must ensure:

    • All repairs are conducted in accordance with the manufacturer’s guidelines.

    • Repairs are performed by a qualified professional if necessary.

  • E-Ride Shop disclaims any and all liability arising from improper installation or repair of the product.

  • In the event of any discrepancies arising from E-Ride Shop's warranty policy for the given supplier/brand, E-Ride Shop reserves the right to determine, at its sole discretion, which parts of our warranty policy and the supplier's warranty policy will apply.


Suppliers/Brands/Manufacturers Warranty Clause:

Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure. All benefits provided to the consumer by the warranty are in addition to other rights and remedies available to the consumer under the law.

TAKANI’s Limited Warranty is valid only applicable to the the original purchaser and is non-transferable.

TAKANI Electric Dirt Bikes: We warrant the product to be free from defects of general materials, components, frame and workmanship except for the battery, tires, and inner tubes and wear parts for a period of sixty (60) days from the date of purchase. Batteries, tires and tubes and normal wear and tear parts such as sprockets, chain, grips, seat, foot rests, brake cable/housing, brake lining/pads, paint, decals and plastics are warranted to the original retail purchaser to be free from defects in materials and workmanship for a period of thirty (30) days. Tire warranties does not include wear and tear, flat tires, tire cuts, skid through, over-inflation blowouts, or other such misuse or normal hazards.

TAKANI Electric Balance Bikes: We warrant the product to be free from material and manufacturing defects from date of purchase for 

Frame, Fork and non electrical components – 12 months,

Electrical componentry, including battery and charger – 6 months,

Wear and tear items (sprockets, chain, grips, bar plugs, saddle, footrest, brake cable/housing, brake lining, paint/decals, tires, inner tubes) – 30 days. 

Tyre/tube damages due to inadequate pressure,  deflation due to foreign objects, tyre damages due to excessive braking are excluded.

TAKANI's limited Limited Warranty will be void if the product is not used in accordance with the owner’s manual or:

  • damaged, failed or lost due to improper assembly, maintenance or storage
  • damaged in an accident, crash or loss of control incident;
  • used in a manner other than for recreation;
  • poorly or incorrectly maintained;
  • used in a manner in which this product was not specifically designed;
  • failure to follow owner’s manual instructions or warnings;
  • electronics or battery exposed to water;
  • modified in any way;
  • damage by unauthorised service or parts;
  • used for commercial purposes

The warranty is limited to repair and/or replacement of bike and/or parts found by TAKANI to be defective only, and at the sole discretion of TAKANI.

TAKANI warranty does not cover or apply to the following: normal wear and tear; any damage, failure and/or loss caused by accident, crash, loss of control incident, shipping/transport, improper assembly, insufficient maintenance, inadequate storage, misuse, neglect, abuse and/ or failure to follow the instructions or warnings as stated in the user instructions or other printed materials provided with the product; damage, failure and/or loss caused by the use of the product for reckless riding or freestyle/stunt riding, ramp jumps, race/competition, reckless/inappropriate off-road use, acrobatics, trick riding or other similar activities, or use in any other manner for which the product was not specifically designed for.

 TAKANI’s warranty excludes products or components, mechanical and/or electrical, which have in any way been altered from the original condition. TAKANI will not be held liable and/or responsible for any damage, failure or loss caused by any unauthorized, substandard servicing, tampering, or changes to the vehicle or use of unauthorized parts. TAKANI’s Limited Warranty does not cover any use other than personal recreational use. It does not apply to any product used for rental or commercial purposes unless the specific product is designated, approved and labelled, as acceptable of such and corresponding, signed commercial agreements are in place. All warranty claims must be made directly to the retailer, who is the primary provider of customer service and warranty enquiries. TAKANI may choose to perform warranty service at the sole discretion of TAKANI.

For warranty enquiries the original owner of the product should contact the retailer, provide information that describe the defect holistically and provide proof of purchase prior to approval of any warranty claim. In the absence of proof of purchase, it is entirely at the sole discretion of the retailer whether a warranty claim is accepted and the warranty period is considered to begin with the date of manufacture of the batch. You can use the contact details of your purchase receipt or email or telephone the retailer that are given in the instructions or online contact form.

TAKANI’s limited warranty does not include any costs associated with shipping and/or transportation to or from retailer or to the appointed repair agent. TAKANI at its sole discretion, has the option of replacing with a new part, a re-conditioned and re-approved part, or repairing any defective product and/or component thereof, or to pay to the owner of such product an amount equal to the original purchase price of such product.

The original owner shall pay for all costs of labour associated with any warranty claims. This warranty supersedes all previous warranties. The warranties stated herein are in lieu of and expressly exclude all other warranties not expressly set forth herein, whether expressed or implied by law or otherwise, including, but not limited to, any warranties for merchantability and/or fitness for any particular purpose.

TAKANI shall in no event be liable or responsible for incidental or consequential losses, damages or expenses in connection with the product. Disclaimer: in some jurisdictions the exclusion or limitation of consequential damages may not be permitted and therefore, such limitations may not apply to the consumer in which such impermissible exclusions are involved. The liability of TAKANI hereunder is expressly limited to the replacement of goods complying with this warranty or at the sole election of TAKANI to the repayment of an amount equivalent to the purchase price of the product in question.

TAKANI does not offer an extended warranty.


Warranty Resolution Time Clause:

E-Ride Shop is not liable for any extended time that may be required to resolve a warranty claim. Various factors beyond our control can contribute to delays, including but not limited to:

  • Supplier/Brand Response Times: Processing and response times from the supplier or brand may vary.

  • Shipping and Logistics: Delays in the shipment of parts or products, which can be caused by logistical issues or external factors such as weather conditions or transportation disruptions.

  • Inspection and Evaluation: Time required for the supplier or brand to inspect and evaluate the product or defect.

  • Part Availability: Delays due to the unavailability of required parts or components.

  • Customs and Import Regulations: Delays caused by customs inspections and import regulations for international shipments.

    • If approved, E-Ride Shop will arrange for the shipment of necessary replacement parts. Note that we are not responsible for the installation or implementation of these parts.
